Mehendi is a huge part of Chitra's culture, and she became passionate about it because of the simple designs her dad used to do for her when she was younger. As she grew older, Chitra’s desire for more intricate patterns led her to explore the art by looking at various designs online. Mehendi offers her a way to embrace her cultural heritage and find relaxation. It has also become a source of personal empowerment for her, and she wants to share it with others so that they can experience the beauty and empowerment it offers. Chitra is currently a junior in highschool in North Carolina, and through this organization, she hopes to foster a sense of connection and confindence for all using the joy of mehendi.
